LED Light Therapy

What is light therapy?

So what is LED light therapy? Light therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits.

The energy delivered is then used to improve cellular performance. Light therapy can be delivered through light emitting diode (LEDs) devices or cold lasers, and has a variety of applications across many medical fields.

It has been widely researched and is supported by thousands of peer-reviewed and published clinical research papers from prestigious institutions around the world. Other terms by which light therapy is know are photobiostimulation, photobiomodulation, photomedicine, LED light therapy, low-level light therapy (LLLT), red light therapy, cold and soft LASER therapy. All terms are correct, have the same meaning and are used to describe the delivery of light energy to to treat a variety of medical and cosmetic conditions.

The treatment is non-invasive, painless, requires no recovery time, and can be used safely on all skin types.

Anti Aging LED Light Therapy

Increased fibroblast proliferation is just one benefit of LED red light therapy. Fibroblasts make collagen fibers, so it stands to reason that the more, and healthier, fibroblasts we have in the skin, the more and better collagen fibers are made. And as we all know, collagen synthesis and maintenance is the bedrock of anti-aging.

Proven red and near-infrared wavelengths are utilized in the Celluma SERIES of LED light therapy devices to combat the signs of aging. These specific wavelengths of light energy are clinically verified to enhance your body’s natural ability to generate collagen and elastin by activating the fibroblast cells.

No prescriptions. No medications. No injections. No surgery. Just safe, natural wavelengths of effective, proven light energy.

What Does It Feel Like to Use Celluma?

Using Celluma light therapy devices is very relaxing. Simply adjust yourself into a restful position and wrap the treatment area with your Celluma. A single session lasts approximately 30 minutes. Most patients experience immediate results and leave their skin feeling like it is glowing. Stiff, sore and painful joints may experience improvements with one to three sessions. Keep in mind that results vary from patients to patient depending on the severity of the condition and adherence to protocols.

Celluma’s anti-aging LED therapy is designed to truly change the way people rejuvenate and recover. We no longer need to rely solely on costly medications, risky injections, or invasive surgery now that we have the technology to give our bodies the boost to heal naturally.

Light Therapy for Pain Management

While light therapy is an excellent tool to combat outward aesthetic concerns such as aging and acne, the whole-body benefits that near-infrared light therapy provides go way beyond skin deep. Many don’t realize just how effective light therapy can be for pain management.

How Does Light Therapy for Pain Work?

In the same way that plants grow by getting their energy from the sun during photosynthesis, Infrared light therapy — or “low-level light” therapy — uses specific, proven wavelengths to stimulate a natural response in human tissue that can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, ease muscle pain, relieve joint stiffness, and enhance overall cell performance on a microscopic level. Infrared light therapy works by boosting cellular energy to encourage and enhance the body’s natural healing abilities.

LED Therapy for Acne Treatment

How can Blue Light Therapy Eliminate Acne Faster?

If you suffer from acne, it’s likely you’ve heard of light therapy as a possible solution to your pimple woes. LED blue light therapy is the new wave of skin care for people who have tried other acne treatments, but still aren’t seeing the results they want.

Blue LED light therapy emits specific, clinically-proven wavelengths of light to trigger an all-natural effect in human tissue, killing acne-causing bacteria, decreasing inflammation, and improving skin tone, texture, and clarity from the inside out. However, not all light therapy is created equal.

Blue and red LED light light-therapy is widely used as an effective option for the treatment of inflammatory acne. One study concluded that “…blue light and red light may act synergistically in improving acne by combining antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action, rendering phototherapy with blue and/or red light an effective and safe treatment for acne vulgaris.

LED Light Therapy for Wound Healing

In original research conducted at the prestigious Beckman LASER Institute at the University of California, Celluma was clinically proven to speed the rate of wound closure equaling or outperforming cold LASERs of similar optical parameters4.

The Celluma is medically CE- Marked in Europe for all FDA indications-for-use as well as for Dermal Wound Healing as a Class 11A medical device in the European Union.

Light therapy has been shown to accelerate tissue repair, decrease wound size and accelerate wound closure as well as other beneficial effects. These mechanisms have been demonstrated to promote dermal wound healing as well as reduce the pain associated with the healing process.
